Quarry House is located in eastern Brunswick, Melbourne, Australia, and the Victorian terrace house has recently been refurbished and expanded. The original part of the house was built with bricks, and the first floor was expanded using the same materials to maintain continuity. The front of the house is the Victorian look of the 1880s, and the second floor is the natural bluestone surface. The arched geometric opening outlines the windows of the new master bedroom and blocks the first floor during the warmer months. The interior layout is carefully designed to ensure that every room can spoof the maximum amount of daylight. Helping to achieve this goal is a central courtyard.
